Laurie Wicker, Of counsel


Laurie Wicker has extensive research experience in a variety of areas, including record retention laws, regulatory compliance, securities, and intellectual property. Laurie also has experience in a range of electronic discovery projects in which she was responsible for identifying relevant documents, legal privilege, and redacting confidential information.
While in law school Laurie studied intellectual property, alternative dispute resolution, mediation, and negotiation. She worked for the College of Law’s Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic in association with the Kane County Judicial Center, where she performed mediation services for the court. She also served as a graduate assistant to the past Dean of the College of Law researching issues in judicial selection and retention.
Laurie received her J.D., cum laude, from Northern Illinois University College of Law in DeKalb, Illinois. Laurie was the recipient of a full scholarship from the College, served as Co-Chair of the Community Life Committee, Secretary of the Public Interest Law Society Board, and was an active member of the Women’s Law Caucus. She received her B.S. in Psychology, from Ottawa University where she maintained a 4.0 GPA.
